Who said foodborne illnesses cannot be prevented? That’s a lie. Boiling
Boiling foodstuffs is the surest way to keep off diseases and sicknesses. For example, when boiling a piece of meat, the heat can reach every part kill the microorganisms. That means your food is free from all disease-causing organisms and, therefore, safe for consumption. It’s the surest way to ensure that the bacterial microorganisms are killed, and thus you can eat comfortably.
Get multiple towels
Using the same towel to do all manner of things is a sure way of spreading disease-causing microorganisms. You need towels for every purpose; some for cleaning the countertop, wiping utensils, some for the dishtowels, and generally all surfaces. That ensures you don’t spread the bacteria to other parts. The towels must also be washed clean and dried at all times. Keeping wet towels is another mistake that you could be making. Keep them dry, and where possible, you can subject them to direct sunlight or extreme heat.
In fact, for more safety, you should get white towels for the sensitive surfaces and where you serve food. You will quickly tell when there is dirt accumulated on those areas or even food remains. It’s easy to detect food particles that could harbor bacteria.
Keep your refrigerator clean.
Your fridge is one of the sensitive pieces of equipment in your home. Handling the fridge will determine whether your food is going to remain clean or will go wrong. You should ensure you have foodborne illness prevention strategies like regular cleaning and removing foodstuffs which should happen daily. You need some thick cotton towels to keep it clean and dry. If not checked, the fridge can be the source of illnesses in your home.
